2020 had been an eventful year for everyone all around the world. From facing an environmental crisis, BLM protests, societal distress and not to mention the global pandemic, humanity faced a lot of pressing issues and concerns that made us rethink our values and how we live our lives. Working in social media means I am no stranger to the black hole of news feeds and the never-ending urge to check your phone for messages every 2 minutes. So when I caught myself going on and off different apps without a clear intention, I knew I had to take a step back and reevaluate how I use technology and the internet for my own benefit.
